Does anything smell bad to a dog?

Really? I mean they sniff urine, poo, butts, crotches and the like. And with that powerful nose.

Why is it appealing?!?

Zeeva walked in when I was getting up from bed and I think she liked the smell of my breath because she took a big ole whiff.

I think(?) they don't like the smell of nice stuff like flower, citrus, candles etc.

What do you think? What does your dog enjoy sniffing? What does your pup dislike the smell of?

Seger - Girl Scout Cookies and processed lunch meat.

Bandit would bark, growl, back up and gnash his teeth at tobacco.

Mine don't like the smell of Vapo-rub or rubbing alcohol. They had to be conditioned to the smell of the outdoor fire. They love citrus and my peppermint plants.

I have wondered that too!!!!! I'm like how can something that smells so awful to me, be something you want to roll in... Though maybe it is something related to the knowledge we have of things.. would things smell bad to us if we didn't know it smelled bad to others? I mean when we are babies.. before we can understand things, we sit in our own poo and make no reaction to it until we are older and understand what it is... does that make sense?

Spraying Lysol in a trash can will make Varik sneeze and run if he gets a whiff. My cat hates strong smells, particularly perfume when first applied.

Lucky and Daisy both hated Bengay ok so did I so switched to the stuff Shaq uses. None of our dogs appears to like Lysol or perfume. Lucky leaves the room when I spray it on.
