Default How to test your dogs nerves?

Bring in a stranger and see how they act. Or fire a gun maybe.. any info?

Both of those are on the temperament test. They are suppose to let a friendly stranger approach, they are suppose to not react to a friendly stranger petting them, and they should hold their ground if a loud obnoxious person approaches. I'm not sure what reaction would cause them to fail with a gunshot, the gun is fired three times 15 ft away from them. Both of mine just looked in the direction of the shots, my male was slightly more alert and focused on the "shooter". All of the dogs that tested and made if that far reacted pretty much the same way.

during training when the gun was fired the first time Kaleb looked. After that he ignored it.

I think that was pretty much the general reaction. None of them barked, pulled toward or away from it.
