Help 1 year old gsd shadow chasing obsession!?

Hi, my beautiful pedigree gsd who we rehomed 3 months ago, she has a lovely temperment... But recently has become crazy over shadow chasing!? Is this a common problem?
She also barks eccsessively in our home on occasions with her hackles up.. Think shes protecting our house, occasionally may be a cat or something she hears?

She goes crazy around airfreshners/ any kind of spray bottle??

She has 1 hour/ 2 hour walks a day. And not left alone for more than 4/5 hours.

But generally she is brillant, very soft natured, loves everybody& children and obediant.
(We have done the basic training ourselves since weve had her)
Many thanks x

Have you ever played with her with a laser pointer? It sounds like she has some OCD behaviors. You have to very carefully counter condition or they will get worse.

Hi, yes this is why im getting abit worried as iv searched accross sites saying about ocd behaviours and that it can send dogs crazy!?? No weve never used a laser but at first it started when she caught eye of a football match on the tv :-) and then she went crazy over a family members watch reflection on the ceiling! Now its any reflection/ any shadow! She nearly ripped a door off its hinges by jumping to get the shadow! How do i counter act this problem?? I try to distract her but shes completely zoned out and fixated! Really strange! Would a behaviourist help? Is this something She will grow out of?
Many thanks x

I have a nearly 6 y/o male who's never outgrown his obsession with the sunspot off the patio screen door. He's better than he was at a year old but he's still obsessed. Door had to be replaced and rehung in the opposite direction, he's still obsessed no matter what I try to distract him with. Even the beloved ball doesn't do it.
