Anxious & nervous (under 2 yrs old and getting worse)

Something is going on with Seven and I just don't know what it is or what to do.

Seven will be 2 in April. We adopted her from a shelter when she was 7 weeks old. She's been a great pet so far. She seems to like all of us, but when everyone (me, my husband and our 6yo daughter) are all in the living room she gets really nervous and anxious. She'll jump onto the couch, stand in my lap panting with her ears twisted to the side and leaning into me as much as she can. If I go upstairs she'll race up the stairs like she's relieved to be able to get out of the room.

I thought it may be one of us, but she's fine when it's just her and I, she is crazy about my husband because he takes her running and she crawls in bed with my daughter some nights.

We haven't had any changes in the house recently. She's been getting more skittish since last Fourth of July with loud noises and my husbands booming voice, but this anxiety seems to have to do with all of us together. We've also seen what seems to be her being conflicted when its just me and my husband and one of us leaves the room. It's like she doesn't know who to be with.

Any ideas, or experience with anything like this? Thanks!

Our pups mature and change for the first few years. Why it's so important to be PRO active with all the dog classes and socialization in and outside the home for years..

How is she in dog classes? How is she when out and about with your friends dogs? On socialization trips?

How far along did you get with ---> Top Training Expectations for Puppies

Remember you can take pictures and add to ---> Why bother to 'socialize' and I want photos/videos of puppies/dogs.....

Hope that helps...
