the other night i Took Triad outside about 11 pm to go potty as we were out there i heard a animal cry at first i thought it was on the other side of the street as i moved around the yard it sounded louder so i went in and got a flashlight i went back out and found a kitten in the yard so i picked it up and brought it in the house. Triad was interested in what this creature was and i told him it was a baby Mao Mao (our current cat) so i had put it in a basket with an old sheet and went to bed Triad jumped in bed and the kitten begaan to cry so Trid jumped off the bed and laid next to the basket and the kitten had quit crying.the next day he kept on watching it and everytime it started crying he was right there like a parent would when a baby cries .
soo would a parent instinct kick in on a situation like this or is it just something new and he is just curious ?( he neutered and never had off spring)
My male GSD has completely taken my golden retriever puppy under his wing, from the moment the puppy came home. This big rambunctious dog lets the puppy jump on him, bite him, and take his toys. I never imagined in a million years that this dog out of all my dogs would be the one to act like the daddy, but he does and he does watch over the puppy. I love watching them together because it amazes me. It sheds a whole new light on what I thought and what actually is my GSD's temperament and personality.
