So Frustrated!!!

I thought Faelan had grown out of his chewing on things besides bones stage. Now in the last few days every time I get into the shower he rips something up! First it was my Boxer's bed, then his bed, and now my daughter's huge pillow. Ugh! What's worse is I'm not even catching him in the act, only seeing the damage done so I don't even know how to correct it. It is like he is waiting for me to be otherwise occupied so he can quickly destroy something, and I've got to be honest, with everything else that is going on right now, this is the LAST thing I need.

Crate or take him in the bathroom with you.

Kaiser will likely be carted until he is an old, old man because he gets into everything from food to rearranging the furniture. Carting him when I can't watch him is what's best for his safety and my sanity.

I was also going to suggest confining him to the bathroom with you if you do not wish to crate him.

I only wish I could confine him to the bathroom. My floor plan is some weird open no door bathroom lol. I am going to have to crate him, which I am going to do. It is just frustrating. I've never had to crate any of my pets and to take a shower no less.

I never had to crate anyone, either.... until Jack moved in with me.

Crate quickly became my best friend.

Jack gradually took over that spot as his behavior improved, he matured, and he could be trusted in MY house, with MY things :)

It's not bad to crate. It's only bad to use the crate improperly. I think it's emotionally easier on the dog to know his place, than to deal with my stress over items that are clearly way more valuable to me than he could have ever predicted.
