Default Changes in behavior, cowers from wife

So I am having an issue with my 1.5 year old GSD female. The jobs that my wife and I work sometimes require us to be away from home for extended periods of time be it weeks or some times months. During a 2 month work assignment that my wife was out of town I had our girl spayed. When she came home from her surgery for the first couple of weeks she was having excited pee accidents whenever guests would come over. She is very well house broken and you could tell it bothered her because after any of these excited accidents she would slink away and hide. Well fast forward to my wife getting home. Day 1 our dog was overjoyed and played and played with her and it was just like old times. Wake up the next morning and now for the past few weeks she wont even let my wife pet her and she either pees if she comes too close or will hide and refuse to come out for treats, food, or toys. This all is becoming very upsetting for my wife, what could possibly be causing this sudden cold shoulder tendency from our pup?

Have your wife ignore your GSD. No petting or talking. Eventually I would imagine the GSD will come up to her.

I wonder if it could have something to do with the anesthesia? Have you had her back to the vet to check things out? Perhaps she has a UTI? This sounds medical to me, with the sudden onset.

She was never a submissive peer previous to her spay?
