Aite my guy has a ton of hard toys that last him a while, but he also gets bored of hard toys and likes soft toys to much on...but hte problem is they dont last more than a day and its getting expensive haha...he shreds them or rips them apart pretty quick. the only toy that lasted him longer than a day was the Kong Ballastic which he shredded in 2 days...do you know of any STRONG soft toys?

The Kong Tugga has lasted us since Christmas (which is a long time in GSD time!). It's made of braided rope and durable fabric which Suki has yet to shred even though she plays with it everyday. She enjoys a game of 'tuggie' with it very often.
The JW line of toys also offer a good variety of softer toys that stand up pretty well. The Cuz/Bad Cuz is a favorite of ours. Probably the biggest success we've had with soft toys has been the Ruff Dog 'Stick Toy' which looks like a stick you would find in your yard but is made of a tough but flexible rubber. Suki loves to play fetch/tug with it and if left alone with it for a few minutes, its not a hazard. The Toy Shoppe 'Durables' line of toys also gets pretty far in our house. Suki had a plush ring shaped toy from them that she was obsessed with. Lasted a little over a month. The best thing to do with the soft toys is to rotate them frequently, so that your pup doesn't have time to destroy them during the first play session. We have a doggie 'toy box' that we store Suki's toys in and we only let her have 2-3 at a time, then take them away and give others the next day so she doesn't get bored or destructive. Let me know if you get any other good suggestions. We're always looking for some variety as well.

I don't think there is such a thing as a durable soft toy for a GSD! lol That is why most of the soft toys in my house are from the dollar store. I can buy a bunch and replace them frequently! I don't mind seeing a toy that cost a dollar get shredded to bits in a few days...as much as one that I spent $10 on!

I am impressed with the planet dog toys though I recommend pulling off the planets with pliers as the dogs will get them off.
