LOL Yup!!! Snow, mud, soggy paws... yup yup. Shasta comes sliding to a stop but that tail of hers... between her tongue flapping around in the wind and her tail knocking things across the room, she's a weapon a mass destruction when she comes in!!! But that sad puppy face when she wants back inside is ALMOST hard to say no to. Almost.

Spirit doesn't want to come in. He used to, but he's feeling his oats these days. He can stay out for hours if I let him. Especially if there's snow ... he does lap after lap. His jolly egg ball is outside too (he's got 2 of them now) so he has fun flipping those around.
I have a heck of a time getting him to come in -- that's a confession I suppose

Fiona does not go outside except to potty without me unless I am asleep. I am in Orange County, Ca and it was below 40 degrees this morning. Found her sleeping outside on the balcony.

We live in a condo and only have a patio. We would welcome Molly to go out there on her own and get some fresh air, but she only does that when one of our cats are out there. Even then, only 5-10 minutes.

Mine does the same thing. He will do a couple of zoomie laps if there is snow or if it is really cold, but then he just sits at the door and stares in at me. So pathetic. People come over and see my nice fenced yard and ask why my dog isn't out here enjoying it? He will not enjoy it unless I am out there with him!
Now that we have 2 kittens Dax does occasionally seek a quiet place to sleep. The other day I found him sleeping in my bathroom while the kittens were being rowdy in the living room. Too funny. |

Benny will go out on his own in the morning to potty but comes right back and barks once at the door. Sometimes he will push against the sliding glass door open and let himself in ( unfortunately he does not close it)
![]() If I let him out to play he always looks back to make sure I am coming and if not he wants back in. He is my German Shadow and I love that about him.

Kacie loves to be out alone or with others. Karlo runs to his pottyspot, then runs back in to make sure the cat is still in her corner.
Onyx goes out and stalks Kacie/herds her to go either in or out. So when all three are out and Onyx has a ball stuffed in her mouth, it's fine, otherwise I have to manage Onyx's bullying. Of course they always sit in wait for me or Dan to go out with them. |
