Link is terrified of the bus, wether its passing by or he's on it - he tries to run off the bus when the doors open, and wants to run frantically around the bus in a panic, though I've always got a firm hold.
I want to take him to my sisters today, which involves a 5-10 minute bus ride followed by switching busses in a station and riding for another 20 minutes. Then I've gotta do it all again on the way back. I've tried treats, but when he's super excited he isn't interested in treats. The only thing he likes more than treats is his tennis ball, but having a 6 1/2 month old puppy hold onto a tennis ball on a bus where he's panicked would be pretty impossible. Any ideas on how to pull this off? I hate not being able to take him on the bus. It means significantly less socialization, no dog parks, less getting use to kids with my niece and nephews, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |
