I'm not sure specifically but GENERALLY I make sure all my dogs get tons of exercise/training when I add a new puppy to the house. It's not the older dogs 'job' to raise the puppy, that's mine. So while I want them to play and get along, it's me in the mix coming up with daily activities and plans.
And I make sure I remove the older dog and just take it out and about with me without the puppy. Still have the one on one time with the older dog. And I do the same with the puppy, take it out and about without the older. It's really exhausting with a new puppy!
