My 8 month old GSD & my 4yr old lab have taken delight in digging/lapping up the dirt my kittens go to the bathroom in. (I recently tranistioned the kittens to outside kitties) I've caught both of them while they were eating the nasty stuff & scolded them both verbally with a loud "NO!" & "LEAVE IT!". The dogs never showed intrest towards the inside litter box, so what's the deal with the dirt outside? Any help??? It's making my puppies breath stink like butt...literally!

Most all of them will do it. Where there are stray cats in my neighborhood it is a mad dash of the morning to see who is going to find it first. If you find a solution please share it with me.

As long as your cats are pooping outdoors and your dogs have access to it, I don't see how you're going to stop them from digging it up and eating it. Why did you move the cats outdoors? Don't you have to worry about alligators in Florida?
