Default My Dog Sleepwalks!

Last night I was up late and Brutus was sleeping in the living room on the carpeted floor. Suddenly, he quickly stands up and falls forward right on his face-he fell down hard, the room shook a little. Then he gets up and stumbles all around the room in a complete daze and he was now limping too. He was stumbling around like a drunk, and it didn't take me long to realize that he was sleepwalking!

I began calling his name over and over, and finally he appeared to wake up because he focused on me, then just as quickly as the limping began it stopped, he then wagged his tail at me ran and jumped on the couch-curled up and went back to sleep. Wow, a sleepwalking dog-anybody else have a sleepwalking story to share?

I haven't seen my dogs sleep walk. I seen a dog on animal planet that has this as a "medical issue". They got him a doggie helmet so he would hurt him self. He would get quite phyiscal while sleeping. Here is a video......

And I forgot to mention that after he fell he was doing what I can only describe as the worm for about 30 seconds before he finally stood up and started stumbling and limping around. He scared the heck out of me. I thought he had broke his leg or something! I was so surprised by it that I didn't think to record it but hopefully if he does it again I will be able to get it on camera. It was the first time that ever saw him do something like that-I have heard him walking around many times but never anything like this.

I just watched the video you linked and the look on that dogs face when he is stumbling around is exactly the way that Brutus looked last night.
