Each morning I get ready for work with Gunny (who's allowed to roam free at night), when the time comes I say "kennel" and he goes right to his kennel. I give him his "kennel treats" and off to work I go. The husband works afternoons, so he's usually still sleeping. This morning Gunny layed on my bed and didn't want to move. He has never done that before. I'm wondering if he's trying to tell me that he's a big boy now and doesn't have to be locked up while daddy's still sleeping and I'm gone. We've tried it before and as soon as I leave he seems to think the party is on.

Maybe he just didn't want you to leave yet- he knows that once he's in the kennel you're gone. If he keeps it up you could practice putting him in and out of the kennel for just a few minutes throughout the day rather than just when you leave the house.

Does he do same thing daily??
I guess Gunny feels tired when he come back to home after roaming at night...
