Default In the dog house again...

Well, Gunny successfully chewed up a 2nd hot tub cover during my watch. Husband is not happy with either one of us. I only let that little brat out of my sight for a very short while. He hasn't done anything that distructive in over a year. Now I have to listen to "you wanted that dog" out of him again!

I'd make sure I head out ASAP and get the new cover.

Sometimes I just need a tweak to pay more attention to my dogs too. Usually when I see the destruction, it's more that I haven't been training or exercising them enough............. not just that I specifically lost sight of them for a few minutes.

So pack the dog in the car and up your exercise/training/socializing routine with the dog so your husband will love you again!

...or she will just conveniently "remember" something he (the husband) did 6 months ago and bring that up.

Oh, I totally know its because I didn't give him enough attention/action yesterday. I've been training for a Dressage Test this weekend and spend a little more time at the barn than I should have. That dog gets more exercise and attention than most. We are constantly doing something, I just needed a little extra time on the horse and he showed me that's not allowed! Just another reminder that even though he's 2 yo, he can still be a destructive baby and I need to keep my eye on him.

Trust me Mr. Knight, I'll be hearing about this for quite some time.

Awww, you just have to explain to hubby that Gunny is 2 years old and leaving his puppy years behind and how sad that is, this will probably be the last thing he chews up because he will start maturing and that just breaks your heart, etc..... He'll think your crazy and wont bring it up again.

BTW if you could muster a tear with that you will go farther. Just sayin.....
