Default they know not to....

Does anyone else have a dog that will occassionaly do something THEY know is not acceptable yet does it anyway....ok let me clarify Stoli who is almost18 months now will occassionally do something like try to sneak a lick from a plate/cup that's sitting out, bark at the neighbors dog,or like this morning he tried chewing some nylons (which he hasn't done any chewing like that for at least 8 months now) when I walk into the room and catch him I don't even have to say anything he stops and puts his ears back in that "I know I'm sorry" and incredibly guilty look. Why why why does this happen is this a testing thing...cuz it's getting old especially when i give him the reprimand he gets all sad and then of course I feel like this awful owner who's basically one step away from animal abuse yes Stoli is able to put on one heck of a guilt trip on me lol

Yes. Daisy is constantly doing things she knows not to do! She jumps up to lick plates in the sink and jumps down as soon as she hears you coming. She takes things off the top of the trash. She digs holes. She leaves the yard unless she is on a tie out (now, maybe she can't quite comprehend that she isn't allowed to leave the yard. the other dogs can, but maybe she cant. but she knows what 'come' means and she refuses to do it if she is off her tie out.) She eats bags of treats if we leave them where she can get them and leave the house. Alaskan huskies are very stubborn. She is VERY smart but she is a handful.
