I was just curious- When I had my white shepherd I had heard people say that white shepherds don't act like "regular" shepherds. Now I don't know if this is true or not, but Dooney definitely acts different than Skye did - but I just contribute that to the WL vs BYB lines and 2 different dogs.
So do you think there is any merit that different colored GSD's (sable vs Black/red vs All black, vs Bi-color, etc) have different temperaments or "quirks" attributed to color alone?

i dont think color has anything to do with temperment.

If it does, it's slight and only as a byproduct of family relationships. As an example, most dark and black sables are East German and Czech. Most red and blacks are WGSL. . . so you might could expect dark and black sables to act more like each other than they do a red and black dog, but it's not because of color, it's because they're more closely related. But black/tans and blacks can be found in every line so it probably wouldn't hold true for them.
Again, if there is any difference it would be very slight, and probably less than the difference between individuals regardless of color.

ok thanks- I know it was probably a stupid question, but I wanted to make sure there was no difference since I plan on getting a sable in a few years. Appreciate you guys not coming out and saying "huh- are you crazy"
LOL
