My husband and I work different shifts. Our daughter is a Marine, so there's no one else at home. The thing is Gunny gets 100% of our attention when each of us is at home with him. All we do is play with the dog and I'm realizing we've created a monster. He believes our sole purpose in life is to play with him and when we don't, we pay the price. With me its tug-o-war rope catch for hours on end and the "hey look what I have, chase me" game with my husband. Funny thing is that after about 1-1/2 yrs I've just figured this out.

I think I'm well on my way to the monster creation, too. Last night I was winding down, watching tv (throwing a toy for him to fetch) and realized I hadn't spent so much as one second away from my dog from when I came home from work Friday to bedtime last night. Everywhere I went, so did he. I do need to get this guy used to being away from me more, but I don't really want to.
