Default Size awareness??

Soooooooo when do dogs realize how big they really are?? Just curious as Stoli has NO idea how big he is (29" 67 lbs) and his body is all over the place sometimes lol. He spent his first year with a pug so I think he believes he's that size. I've had the people at doggie daycare tell me he's a huge goober and awkward while playing atbtimes so just thought I'd ask if there's ever going to come a time he's all "oh wait I'm a big boy" lol

I'd just really like to walk my hallway without a giant GSD roadblock hehe

LOL i'm still waiting for that time. Zena was great with kids and pretty careful around them most of the time but that big ol' butt of hers....

Riley is 6 and still hasnt gotten the memo. Shasta.... she's a work in progress. She's gotten better but not by much. Perhaps work with him on rear-end awareness?

Chance never quite got it...

He was raised with Chihuahuas and a PekaPom....He was convinced he was the same size and often crawled into my lap like they did. LOL!!! He had times where one of the dogs would go into a small space too and he'd try SOOOO hard to get in and couldn't. Poor baby just didn't get he was a big boy!!

Viktor is constantly bumping his head into things. He was sniffing around this sign, heard a noise and picked his head up quickly and *BANG*, cracked his head. hard too... it had to hurt!!!

Haha Stoli does that too like under tables and such. He's just so funny that he once tried crawling on the back of the couch since a friends rat terrier was doing the same thing....hilarious to see but one of those ya had to shake your head at maybe someday I'll get to walk the halls without having to hurdle him lol

29" and 67#? Are you sure you are measuring right?
He must be tall and gangly...agile or awkward!
Karlo is 27" and 90# very agile, noodle like in his turns, he is aware of his size, but can be a bull in a china shop when he gets ramped up.
How old is Stoli?

I'm also waiting for this to kick in. Luna doesn't seem to realize she's not small anymore, though she's only six and a half months old. She tires to squeeze into places she doesn't quite fit any more:

She likes to sit in my lap, though she's too big to fit and she likes to put her giant paw on my shih tzu's head to play.

I think my girl knows her size, but I have a 20 lb tabby cat that has intimidated both Stella and my girl at the bridge Rio to giving this cat wide berth and never cornering him.

It is so funny, if he is in the way, both Stella and Rio will stay put until they would figure out a way to go around the cat or find another way or wait for him to move if I want them to come to me or they are trying to enter a room or something.

We call Coco the mafia cat. He was a rescue from the streets. Half his face was hanging and he has FIV but you would never know it. My son was working for one vet and brought him in and could not believe the cat had FIV even though he was diagnosed by my vet. She ran another blood test on him just to be sure.

Ya, I love it too. "Hey I USED to fit in here!!"

Stoli must be tall and very lean. Abby is 25" and 67 and quite lean. As for getting around, she never bumps into anything and she FLIES.
