At first I started feeding Alpha Blue Buffalo, he ate Blue until the age of 7 months. Unfortunately, I had to change him to Nutra Nuggets... Now he is 11 months and I have been thinking of changing him to Blue Buffalo again... Can some one please help me compare the differences between Blue Buffalo and Nutra Nuggets and help me decide... this is tough for me because Blue is 35lbs for $50 and Nutra Nuggets is 40lbs for $25 and I am currently unemployed and on a tight budget.. thanks for your help...

If he's doing well on the Nutra... stick with that. I don't know much about the food, but it looks to be fine ingredient wise. No reason to switch if he's doing well on it and he likes it.

Ingredients
Chicken by-product meal, whole grain ground corn, wheat flour, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), beet pulp, egg product, flaxseed, natural chicken flavor, salmon oil (a source of DHA), fish meal, potassium chloride, salt, choline chloride, vitamin E supplement, iron proteinate, zinc proteinate, copper proteinate, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, copper sulfate, potassium iodide, thiamine mononitrate, manganese proteinate, manganous oxide, ascorbic acid, vitamin A supplement, biotin, calcium pantothenate, manganese sulfate, sodium selenite, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), vitamin B12 supplement, riboflavin, vitamin D supplement, folic acid. Nutra Nuggets The first several ingredients in Nutra Nuggets puppy are not what is considered to be quality ingredients based upon what is listed above. I did see that the calcium percentage is 1.2 and that is not too bad for a GSD puppy.
