Indoor excitement

Lexi is a 2 year old white GSD. She's great all day up until the time my parents come home. She then sprints around the house everywhere she goes and even her down and sits are very (intense?). I've already tried telling my parents to ignore her completely until she is calm but that hasn't worked too well so far. Any tips would be great as my wooden floors are begging me to fix this problem.

She's just excited to see them. Is she jumping all over them when they arrive or just running around the house in excitement?

mostly just runs around the house but is in an excited state for 4-5 hours after they get back home from work.

Can they wear her out outside.....good to enforce being calm inside......

You said she's great all day. Is she getting any exercise before they get home, or do you all play with her more at night?
