Hmmmm, now this is getting interesting. I'll have to really pay attention to see if he bumps me when we play. He's more of smack me in the eye with a paw type dog, but I'll have to see if he is feeling his oats.

I really don't recall Hondo doing it to hubby and I. But he did do it to the neighbor and he does do it to our older GSD (who is still the boss between them). Interesting..........

after my dog eats he'll come to you
and bump you with his nose. we take that as a thank you for the food. sometimes when we're sitting at the computer he'll walk pass and touch with his nose and keep walking. when he does that when i'm at the computer i normally say "hello" or give him a pat as he's walking by.

A nose bump is one thing. A muzzle punch - used as a form of "punishment" or reprimand is another. Madix was a big muzzle puncher and it was something I immediately banned. This was not usually in play, it was usually used to aggravate another dog/push the boundaries by being a brat or to "get after" someone for doing something he didn't like.
