What a Weird World We Live In?

Men believe they can control beasts with chains with little links any of which can be broken?? One weak link breaks, the man turns his back, the muzzle slips..... or the beast becomes tired of being yanked around and decides to come up the chain?

The little girl? Wonder what will become of her? She is too young to understand the magnitude of what she is doing but one day she will grow up and maybe remember the man who put her on the back of one of the most dangerous animals alive. What will she feel about the man who put her there?

Yea, for real. These guys are "hyena handlers". They make money off of the animals by traveling around performing town to town.

The little girl is supposedly one of them and has never been harmed by the animals <shrug>

WOW!!! That's scary! I'd imagine those hyena's jaws are probably strong enough to snap the makeshift muzzle.

The situation with this family is fascinating, frustrating, sad & complex IMO. It's not surprising that desperately poor & marginalized people will resort to extreme measures to provide for themselves & their families. Right or wrong, I hope I'd do the same to provide for my family if that's all that was available to me. (Prostitutes in some very poor areas 'work' dozens of men in a day, hundreds per week. I'll tame hyenas tyvm)
