Nestle Purina recalls Waggin' Train and Canyon Creek Ranch brand dog treat products DogHeirs | Where Dogs Are Family Keywords: chicken jerky, China, FDA, Purina

Nestle Purina PetCare is voluntarily recalling Waggin' Train and Canyon Creek Ranch brand dog treats in the United States because the products may contain trace amounts of a poultry antibiotic that isn't approved in the U.S. Milo's Kitchen also announced a recall of Milo's Kitchen Chicken Jerky and Chicken Grillers brand dog treats.

I hear ya, hopefully the word will spread. Sad thing is almost everything is stamped "made in China".

tell me about it. I can not find a single can of canned fish that is not a "product of china"

I will not buy or eat any fish unless it specifically states where it's origin is. Sad to say I love shrimp, but unless it's coming up from our deep south I can't bring myself to eat it any more.
I have a lot of tuna fish can's I haven't looked at them, guess that's soon to be on my no no list.
I drive a Chevy, hubby drives a Ford....rant over : )

I have seen made in china on chicken treats that come from companies like milos kitchen that usually is stamped made in the USA. The lady that runs the local pet shop said unfortunately just about all chicken treats for pets are made in China. I won't give Wolfie any chicken treats and I don't feed him anything made in China.

milos treats in wal mart all say made in china, milos at tractor supply all say made in usa. no idea where the ingredients are from.

Hey, posted same thread last night!

Another "made in china" that DO NOT have to be listed is the synthetic vitamin and mineral mix that gets added into kibble once all the heat processing takes out the naturally occuring nutrients...these vit./min. come as a pre-mix and most pet foods - low end and high end use them.

So when you contact your pet food supplier to ask if any of the food is sourced or processed in china - ask where the premix comes from too. Companies will only tell you what you are asking for or will skirt the issue...for ex. - "are any of the ingredients in __ from china? answer "all our chicken, whole grains, oils only come from USA certified suppliers" ask question - "is the vit./min. premix sourced from china"...
