This girl is a very nice German Shepherd. She is about 3 years old. If you are looking for a nice Shepherd she may be just the dog for you.

Lost and stray animals are held at Dekalb Animal Services for seven business days in order to give their owners a chance to reclaim them. After that time period, adoptable animals are held as long as space allows.

Just spoke to the shelter...she is still there, but they are getting quite full. Pull fee of $92 includes spay/neuter, all shots, and HW test. Rescues can submit the 501c paperwork and pull dog with no vetting for no charge. I'll donate towards vetting to any reputable rescue.

"Just got back from Dekalb, we took this big gal outside (in the rain) for a bit of interaction, here's my thoughts:

She is a pretty laid back dog, easy on the leash, friendly with folks. I don't think she has ever seen a child before. She didn't really know what to think of my 5 year old twirling around in the rain. She didn't show any signs of aggression with my son, after an initial sniff and to watch him for a minute, she ignored his running and jumping. I would say she's around 5 years old and has had a litter of pups in the past. She is missing the tip of one ear. Will need some more socialization as she was a bit unsure when we first walked her outside, but warmed up quickly to some petting. She is currently in a run with some other dogs and has had no issue with her kennel mates. Very skinny under all of that coat, could definitely use some groceries. All in all, she is definitely a great rescue candidate, and with very little work, would make someone an awesome pet."
