I just called the shelter real quick as I had some extra time.
The lady said that the male is fixed, and they are pretty sure the female is as well but they need to have a vet check.

These two (Gypsy and Jazz) were found as strays. She says it does not look like they were on the run for to long as they appear healthy. Just a few mats in the coats. She says they might have lived outside.

They have not been HW tested. It is $20 for that.

She said, like Kelly said, that they are nice, sweet dogs. The male can put up a show behind the fence though. She did say they do better with other big dogs vs. small dogs. And might not do well with cats, but hard to say if that could be easily worked on or not. She said no real dog aggression...just the prey thing at times is the impression I got from what she was saying.She also said they might be fine alone (not adopted together) but it would be good if they could at least go to a home with another big dog and a home with some experience with big dogs or GSDs.

I asked how much time they had and she really did not give me a straight answer, just that...it would be good to have them out in 1 week. So do not know exactly what that means.

MOGS (Missouri GSD Rescue) picked them both up from Topeka today.

Nancy says they are sweet dogs. They now think that Gypsy is Mom and Jazz is son, as Gypsy was not spayed but Jazz is neutered.

So, Gypsy will bet getting spayed soon and will hopefully be on the MOGS website after more is learned about them
