Default Two free AKC GSD on Craigslist - Durand, Michigan

Just came across this in craigslist:

akc german shepherd female (2)(free to good homes) (durand area)

We have to down size our living situtation, and we just can't take them with us. They both are free to loving homes. Braelyn, is 2.5 yrs., about 75 lbs, tan/black, lineage czech. Bella is 3 yrs., about 60 lbs, tan/black, lineage eastern european. If you would like to come and see them.

Oh goodness. That's sad. Wish I could take them.

I received a phone call today, mine being one of the phone numbers listed in this ad.. someone inquiring if the dogs were still available (perhaps they did not notice the date of this posting). They were my dogs, and I was beyond devastated to have to find them new homes. We did, after a while, manage to find them both good family homes with people who were knowledgeable about the breed. For Bella, it was her third chance, as we had taken her in from some people who couldn't take care of her before.

It still haunts me to this day, to know that I couldn't keep them. But I was going through a divorce, and the day after we had decided on that, the foreclosure notice came in for our landlord. When it rains, it pours.

The only thing I'm asking is to either put a notice that the dogs are no longer available, or to remove the last four digits of the phone numbers so I don't get the same phone calls in the next couple years.
