TOLEDO, OH:"Henry" (#6361) - Young Adult B&T Boy (adopted)

HENRY was listed in the local newspaper today as being available for adoption at the Lucas County Dog Warden's Shelter in Toledo, OH.

There is no other information given about Henry and he is currently not listed on their Petfinder site, but the newspaper listings are usually more up to date than their Petfinder site. All of the dogs that are put up for adoption from the dog warden are SAFER tested, so Henry has passed that first hurdle!

To me, Henry looks like a young adult - maybe 2 or 3 years old or so. The Lucas County Dog Warden and staff do their best to find homes or rescues for the dogs there and will often say that they do not euthanize for space. However, there are usually between 150 - 200 dogs there at any given time and their accomodations, especially for the large dogs are very limited, so the sooner the dogs get out, the better and we all know that GSD's do not do well in crowded shelter conditions.

The Lucas County Dog Warden's shelter is in downtown Toledo, very easy access off of I-75!
