I shouldnt have been looking at dogs in high kill shelters but I came across this guy and its breaking my heart-I hope someone can step in and save him! 37411 – Luke | Athenspets.net

I already have 4 GS and live with my parents or I would be working on getting this boy myself. Can anyone help this boy out? He is so young and look at that face!

Luke is such a springy, happy dog – I was surprised to see he was a year old and not younger! He is very sweet and leans into you when you give him attention, but he doesn’t realize how big he is yet. Luke is very friendly and was interested in saying “hi” to everyone we walked past. He’s very strong when he gets distracted so be sure to walk him on one of the stronger leashes.
Luke is a great dog who still has a lot of puppy energy (but not in the overbearing way), so if you’re looking for a young dog with his whole life ahead of him, Luke is perfect for you!
Update 9/25: Luke is out of time and has no applications. The shelter is full of puppies right now so poor Luke could easily be overlooked. Don’t make the mistake of doing that, Luke is a great dog and he needs an adopter or rescuer soon!!

I'd adopt him but I live to far and have cats

I would run and get him if I didn't have an 8-month-old GSD. Wrong time for me to bring a new dog here.
