Default Kiowa - formerly known as Pinky Pie

Hello all. I wanted to let you know that my husband drove a little more than 1000 miles (one way) to rescue "Pinky Pie". As we tell people, this dog was meant to be ours. She was in my husband's home town, during his sister's birthday week and she needed loved. Since my husband is active duty ARMY and stationed at Fort Riley, KS...he renamed Pinky Pie to Kiowa. She has a GSD brother who we rescued in April, his name is Top (as in First Sgt.) 2 years ago our youngest daughter became INFATUATED with GSD's. We have no idea how or no longer matters because we couldn't have asked for 2 better dogs. Kiowa is the companion dog and her brother is a PTSD service dog for my husband. I have attached pictures so you can see the changes in her physical well as the life in her eyes. Amazing how she changed in a couple of days after being rescued.

These threads always scare me....I look to see if I can refer anyone usually but it is so heartbreaking...I remember this girl's photo last summer!

I am so glad this girl had a happy ending! She looks very happy and loved...THANK YOU for rescuing her, and especially for updating the stay around and keep us updated on her!
