Default Tucson, AZ- mother/daughter, 4Y, 1Y (listing gone)

Sorry, I'm new here, so please forgive any irregularities or unintentional bloopers.

There is a mother/daughter pair of purebred GSDs at Pima County Animal Control (PACC) in Tucson AZ. They are on the rescue list (will be euthed if not rescued) for "behavior", even though they have not shown any behavioral problems, because their owner turned them in apparently to solve a neighborhood dispute.

The mother, Kate, is only 4 years old, and the daughter, Tia, 1. Kate is a rich black/tan, and Tia is beautiful black/cream. Both look like plush or long coats, maybe? Hard to tell in pics.

Here is the rescue list posting on CL:
Ooo Playtime! We LOVE to Play! Try PACC for Choice of GREAT Dogs!

And here is the PACC website:
Pima Animal Care Center

Good luck to anyone who can help these ladies, I don't know them personally, but I saw them on the rescue list and joined this site so GSD lovers would see them. They look like sweet dogs- just look at those faces. And they're so young.

Gorgeous girls w/pretty names - how sad for them to be facing death row. Are there any rescues in the Tucson area?

You might want to contact the Southwest GSD Rescue here in Phoenix to see if they have contacts in Tucson:

I live in Mesa and am willing to help transport if needed.

the craigslist posting has been deleted, they are still listed on the pima county website as potentially not good with other animals.

What I think is sad is that the OP posted that neither of these dogs has shown behavioral problems at the shelter, yet their write-up on Petfinder doesn't mention this. Only the (potential) negative. For all we know they could have been turned in simply because they barked a lot and the neighbors didn't like it. It doesn't say, and there is no evidence proving that they are problematic. Yet now they are "labeled" - and their lives are in danger.
