Long Island NY - stunning 2yr old sable female Ruby (w/video) (adopted)

Thanks to Facebook I came across this sable female that has been in a shelter for two months in Long Island NY - I live in Australia and found this on a fan page for a rescued Pitbull called Patrick. I thought those in the area that she is at maybe she could be the dog for someone you know, or you might be able to give her a foster home as she has become very lean living in a shelter environment for 2 months.. looking at her temperament evaluation on this youtube link.. she's really not the most drivey dog out there, but very naturally obedient and biddable, might suit a home that wants a gsd without having to deal with the drive and boundary testing that goes with the territory with many gsds. Anyway I hope this brings some better luck to this beautiful girl.. peace!

am bumping this up / got an email about her, and if I didn't have a female already I'd be getting this girl..she sounds FABULOUS!!!. Nice dog, very biddable ...

She's this week's viral *urgent* email (I got her from 3 different people and on facebook). We put a call in about her this morning and haven't heard back.

I think the "Ball Drive" Evaluation could have been done a little different.

yeah your right, I think she was to into checking the place out, he doesn't really say how long he'd had her where she was,

very pretty tho, and I liked her obedience potential

To be honest, for my taste, he talked to much without engaging with the dog. I think if the evaluator would actually actively engage with her..just a little food, with a ball or tug, it might be an overall different picture. Yeah, looks like she's got some potential, that's why I'd love to see a bit more than that.

Ruby was found roaming…a stray, most likely abandoned!

She's been in a municipal shelter for two months still, after being returned by two different families who could not handle a young, German Shepherd!!

Just want to clarify several things- this dog, RUBY, has NO issues- no resource or food guarding, nothing- as per Mike, she is very well balanced- even though she tested very well with other dogs, it is recommended she be an only pet unless her new owner can provide structure and boundaries-CONTACT PEG 631 813 6887

***Please view this u tube video of RUBY…this video was taken while RUBY was being evaluated by HOUNDS TOWN UNIVERSITY Trainer, Mike Gould…she's a great dog! She is languishing in the SHELTER environment…it is killing her spirit and hope.
