Received this in an e-mail:
URGENT!!!! A man brought two FULL BREED GSDs to the Horry County Animal Care Center yesterday because he couldn't afford to have them put down. They are 9 & 10, male & female, Axel & Gretchen. They both have minor hip dysplasia, are heartworm NEG, and around medium size. This is all I know so far. However they MUST be out of the shelter by Saturday (Dec. 10) or they'll both be PTS. They've never been apart from each other and both are terrified. Please! Is there ANYONE out there that could offer these two a home for the final years of their lives? Email me at boudeccea@gmail.com if you can help! They are near Myrtle Beach, SC.

These poor babies. Just look at the boy trying to be brave for his 'sister'....how heartbreaking. Now if this doesn't bring tears to everyones eyes, I just don't know what will.

The heartache just keeps on coming..... past experience shows that these sorts of situations - dumping of dogs, esp seniors - is worse around holiday times, and Christmas isn't far away. There will be more....
It just breaks your heart to see guys like these, looking out from a "cell" and not knowing what in heck has happened to them. ![]() _________________________________________ Susan Anja SchH3 GSD Conor GSD Blue BH WH T1 GSD - waiting at the Bridge

Thanks Rosa! That was a good idea. I checked Molly's website and there were only three dogs listed, with one being a courtesy listing. I've never seen so few dogs in her care, but then I don't check her very often. Perhaps she would be able to take these guys - fingers crossed.

No, I doubt they've been contacted. Can you give them a call tomorrow or shoot them an email first thing tomorrow?
