TOLEDO, OH: "Gidget" 1 yr old B &T Girl (adopted)
I came across "Gidget" while looking around on Petfinder.
She is currently at the Lucas County Dog Warden's shelter in Toledo, OH. The new dog warden does her best to find homes or rescues for the dogs there and the shelter will often tell people that adoptable dogs will stay there until they're adopted or rescued, but there is only so much room there and space for big dogs is very limited - and this is still a kill shelter. All of the dogs there are SAFER tested before being offered for adoption, so she is not dog aggressive, is not a food guarder, etc. She has already passed the SAFER testing hurdle! There is not a lot of information given about her, other than that she is 1 yr old and full of energy, and would probably be best in a home with no little kids due to her energy level. my thought too...whata sweet little face she has.
seems like traffic in the rescue section of the board is way down. everyone is full and pretty overwhelmed. seems like i read about a rescue having to shut down every day. all i can offer is some sponsorship to any known rescue who can help. anybody?

According to the shelter, Gidget has been adopted - the Petfinder site is not yet updated. Have a great new life, Gidget!!
