I am a male black and tan germ shepherd mix. The shelter thinks I am about 12 years old.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 09/28/2011 from NY 11418, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

OMG, poor Baxter. I am praying for a miracle for you, dear boy. Hope you find a wonderful home to live the rest of your life at. Hope it is not too late for you. This breaks my heart.

Baxter is not on the shelter list. He may already be gone......hopefully to a rescue, but at his age and in his condition..........

The latest update is that he has been reunited with his owner and has since been moved to 'safe'.

That would make me happy but for the fact that his "home" allowed him to get into that condition. And the chances are they will take no better care of him now than before. It's something that they came for him, but look at his list of health problems - the poor guy needs to see a vet. (And get some decent food.) Sigh........

No worries! It's easy to get carried away because it can so often go the other way, and we generally don't hear about families coming to claim their dogs. I just looked at this chap and the condition he was in and felt conflicted .........

poor baby boy i hope he gets the vet care from his owner,how could they look at him and not take care of there baby.taking care of a dog is alot of responsibility i dont get some people.
