I saw "Bangle" in the newspaper today. She is currently available at the Lucas County Dog Warden's shelter in Toledo, OH.
Her Petfinder post says she is on the small side for a GSD and still acts like a puppy. They don't think her previous family took very good care of her and she is a bit nervous, but loves people and loves to play with toys. The dogs at the LCDW shelter are SAFER tested before they are put up for adoption, so she has already passed the first hurdle. The new dog warden does her best to find homes or rescues for the dogs, but this is still a kill shelter, even though they will sometimes tell you over the phone that the adoptable dogs will stay there until they're rescued or adopted - there is only so much room there, especially for the bigger dogs. If you'd like to know more about Bangle, please contact the shelter at the number or e-mail address given below. The Lucas County Dog Warden's shelter is in downtown Toledo, very easy access off of I-75.
