I'd so like to help this boy. He sounds like he would fit into our household just fine. But thanks to Hurr. Irene, I'm once again without work, therefore without money. No way I could cover vet bills along with transportation (won't ever take another dog without having met him/her personally) and subsequent mountains of additional dog food. *sighs* I need to win a lottery or something.

I just spoke with Misty and the Roane County Animal Shelter and have good news!! Damian is leaving the shelter today as a personal adoption for a lady who volunteers with a North Carolina GSD rescue group. He was initially going to be pulled for the rescue as a foster dog and then the lady decided to adopt him personally. Damian is safe and will go to her vet with the appointment already made for him!!

In addition, this same adopter is picking up a lovely one year old purebred Golden Retriever and is taking him to a Golden Retriever rescue group on her drive home with Damian. Two dogs are getting rescued today and Damian's rescue/adoption is helping another lovely dog find safety.

Moderators:

Please move this thread to the Rescue Follow-up section. Damian was adopted from the shelter last week. I sent messages, but see that the thread is still in the urgent section.

Where is the "notify" button and is there a mechanism whereby the thread originator can change the title of the thread? I would like to change it to reflect that he was adopted, but can find no way to do so.

Many thanks.

"Notify" button is the black/yellow symbol with the exclamation mark under your avatar. Mostly for reporting spam, threatening e-mails etc., but it works for this too.

This is what the notify symbol looks like. It's under your avatar.

We don't always get to read every thread in this section so this is the best way to let us know it needs to be moved. Not sure who you sent the messages to but the notify will let all the moderators that can move things in this forum know.

You can't change the title past the edit period, but a moderator in the forum can and we usually do when moving threads out of the urgent section.

Thanks!
