Default Jonesboro GA - 3 GSD - 2 males 1 female - PAST euth dateeuth by heartstick (safe)

I got an email regarding a group of dogs at the shelter in Joneboro GA -

There were 3, yes, 3 GSD that ended up there due to the owner being evicted from his home.

I spoke with a staff member there - the dogs are still at the shelter but are on borrowed time. The dogs are not aggressive, seem calm - they sit in their cages waiting for someone to get them.

They were to be euthanized today - Tuesday, but the staff is trying to find someone to adopt or save them

Many,if not most of the adoptable dogs and cats at this shelter are not on petfinder, including many sweet adoptable Pitbull Terriers. Many sweet Pitties, unseen on Petfinder, die here by heart-stick on Tuesdays and Fridays. It is best to go there if possible and check out all of the adoptable animals.

I witnessed an animal being euth'd by heartstick once. (The vet missed on the first try.) It still makes me sick to my stomach when I think about it. Cruel and inhumane way for anything to die.....

for these nice guys.....

All I know is that this shelter has been doing this method of killing animals since I have been involved in rescue - and that now has been more than a few years.

A BIG BUMP for these 3; It's not their fault that they've lost their home.

Whether it's heartstick or gassing, these are nightmarish euthanasia methods. Please, please can someone save these dogs??
