Sad and critical story below about Coco, a purebred Shepherd girl literally shutting down in fear after being turned in to shelter. Might you kindly post to your awesome network as this girl Coco needs special rescue/foster, someone with a heart for an animal suffering immensely. The GCRR folks are very helpful; this girl Coco needs to get away to some quiet and peace. with a loving foster or rescue. Rescuers PLEASE, can you assist a girl on the edge?

(08/18/11)Please crosspost. This girl, CoCo is 3.5 yrs old and has lived in one household her entire life (birthed at home). She was surrendered to our organization and has completely shutdown. She is petrified of all the barking and chaos in the kennels and desperately needs to be in a rescue with a foster home. This girl really needs to get out asap. She is absolutely beautiful and fully vetted: spayed, rabies, bordatella, dhpp, hw negative. Please if you are able to help contact me asap!
UPDATE 08/23/11 she is so upset I do not want to push her over the edge...which we are close to. She has not moved from the spot in 4 days and I am having difficulty getting her to eat. I feel that it is most urgent she is moved. Please let me know if you can help

OMG how could her family do that to her - poor poor girl, how dreadful for her. She won't survive in the shelter that's for sure......

Heidi's legacy Dog Rescue has Dutch coming tomorrow to foster in Tampa area.

We have been in contact and trying to coordinate getting this baby on same transport tomorrow.

It sounds as though she is in safe hands Jean, but this org doesn't apparently have foster care available, and this girl needs to be in a home not in a shelter (however caring) where she is traumatized. Sounds like she is being worked on however, so fingers crossed she gets out. If it falls through I'll contact Molly and mention the HW- again.

Dutch also, will be in a foster home.
