Dutch ID# 8/15-3081 Fabulous older adult male GSD. HORRIBLE ear infection that is draining pus. Somehow he has lost half of his tail. He is super fabulous and deserves to retire with dignity, not die here. Please take a chance on him. He is really a great boy!

We are very rescue friendly and are more than happy to work with any rescue group as long as the group has a valid Georgia Department of Agriculture license! Any rescue group, whether in or out of state, that takes pets from Georgia shelters, is required, by Georgia law, to have a rescue license issued by the Georgia Department of Agriculture's Animal Protection Division. Looks like he's had a hard life poor soul.........and his ears have to be so terribly painful....don't they treat infections here?

ohmygosh, dear old soul.

to any reputable rescue: i will sponsor initial vetting and possibly more for this boy. please can someone nearer to him help him. look at his face...he is battered but has not lost his spirit.

I just sent a email to Molly (Southern Cross) asking if she might be able to help.

I received an email from AC this morning: "He will not be put down today but I can tell you I cannot even get rescues to take the younger shepherds, of the last group I posted 2 were put down."

"Do what you can. He is a great boy."

If a rescue can commit there is support until transport can
be arranged:

I spoke to Christine Greene this morning who does boarding.
She charges $5.00 a day, but has very limited space right now.
(only one or two runs available so act quickly to reserve))
She gave me permission to post her phone number here which is
770-652-5164. She thought the basic shots at the vet would run
$14.00 each. There may be pull help in the area through another
source but I would check first with Betsy at
mystiblu <mystiblu@bellsouth.net>who is THE contact for the AC
for further info for pull. IF you are considering this dog please let her
know that as well~ immediately please.

I just sent an email to German Shepherd Rescue Group of GA. I don't have a contact there but from the directions on this guy it sounds like they are close to him.

i know southern cross has had their share of special needs dogs, and everyone, everywhere is full it seems.

despite his dire circumstances, this boy's face is full of hope.
