Minneapolis, MN, Kado, Adult Male...Getting Dumped for a New Puppy, Family wants Him

Gone...Kado is a great boy that has never met a stranger! He loves people and kids and all the attention they can give!

He is being surrendered to MARS because his family recently purchased a male GSD puppy and unfortunately, both unaltered boys aren't getting along so he must go

**NOTE: Kado will be neutered upon coming to MARS.

Kado is good with dogs but needs a home without other male dogs. His family claims he is also good with cats but he does show a little too much interest in small dogs so we are unsure how he will react.
Kado needs a foster NOW as his surrendering family wants him *gone* immediately.
Will you please help us save this sweet boy? If we don't act soon, they may surrender him to a local shelter where his fate will be unknown,

How terrible!

He never belonged to a "family" because "family" would never do that!

I hope this lovely boy finds a wonderful family that will give him a forever home.

MARS is a rescue group, right? Is he in a kill shelter?

MARS (Midwest Animal Rescue Services) is a rescue group trying to help this dog before his family sends him to a shelter; The rescue is trying to find a foster home or adopter for Kado.

He's been in boarding for a couple of months and went there after some trouble with a different foster.

We foster GSD's for MARS and our current foster got adopted yesterday and we're picking Kado up tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.
He's got some issues with resource guarding (and who knows what else after being in boarding) but we're going to get right to work with him on whatever his problems are.

Why on earth wouldn't the family just get one/both neutered if they aren't getting along? Usually that can help in cases of SSA. Ugh. And if you are dumping one - NOT saying this the right thing to do, at all - why are you dumping the one you already have a responsibility to!!!

Urgh!

Here's hoping he winds up in a good home.

Thanks Randy for helping Kado! Finally some positive news for this guy who's been shuffled around way too much in the last few months. We're all hoping for updates after he's been with you a bit and you've had a chance to assess him better.
