He looks pretty good for 13, how do we know his age? He's shedding a little, is that why someone thinks he was not well cared for?

That's horrible... at 13 years old that dog should be living the rest of his life sleeping on a comfortable couch, not looking for a home.
I'll agree with Selzer... based on those pictures, the dog does look pretty good for 13 years old. I expected much worse.

One thing bothers me though, are they going to force this old dog to be neutered now? I mean he is thirteen, and yes I guess he could sire a litter, but would you want your 13 year old to undergo ANY surgery?
My guess if they know his age, is that he is an owner turn in. What a sad thing for an owner to turn in an old guy like that. People never fail to amaze me.

Selzer-to address your question...while rescues are required by law to spay/neuter and provide the shelter with proof...there are medical exemptions.

Just got word that this old guy passed away from natural causes in the shelter. RIP beautiful boy. You should have died at home with a loving owner by your side. Run free at the bridge now, young once again.
