Gender: Female
Size: Small,

About zoey dies monday, please help: Zoey DIES unless she gets a commitment from a Rescue or Person. PLEASE!! Call the shelter 910-862-6918, either talk to a person, or leave a message. Give dog's name, state that you will cover fees, give your name and phone number, end message with please save the dog for you!! This will keep the dog Alive. THEN, call Silvia 910-876-0539 and give her this same info. Her email is bladenpets@yahoo.com, do this too. LASTLY TEXT Silvia 910-876-0539 and give dogs name, and your name and phone number. She gets this right now! She will call shelter and hold your dog. *******************Please Do This*** When Zoey's owner turned her in they told the shelter people that she was a 'wolf-hybrid' maybe to be funny. It's not funny, it could get her killed. Because of this Zoey must have a rescue get her, they won't let an individual adopt her. We don't think there is an wolf in this pup. She is a lite colored shepherd mix. Zoey is a thin shy Shepherd mix girl. Please consider saving this innocent girl. She is Not a wolf! The shelter is FULL, time is Short. Please give Zoey a chance. You would take home a really nice new friend. ............ Silvia can help you with this dog. Please call Silvia at 910-876-0539, or email her at: bladenpets@yahoo.com. She can help you with any/all details about the dog. If busy, please try again AND go to Facebook page 'A Shelter Friend', write comments there, as it is watched constantly. Our dogs all deserve to be saved and loved.+++NOTE+++, the shelter is PUTTING DOGS DOWN at Any Time!!! Please don't wait to call or visit!!+++++++++++

A shelter volunteer wrote on FB:
"Zoey was an owner turn in who told us she was a sheperd/ wolf hybrid. She has the best temperment and is really a great girl! Don't let the "wolf" part scare you! She is by no means vicious or feral. The shelter can only not adopt her out t...o the public because they are required to give all dogs they adopt out to the public a rabies vaccination and the genetic make up of wolf hybrids is not compatable with the current rabies shot. She is an amazing dog who deserves an amazing home ♥"

NB: The rabies vaccine may not be approved for wolf hybrids as there may not have been clinical trials, and in that sense could be considered as given 'off label'. However, if so, it wouldn't make sense – even if she were a hybrid, wolves and dogs are the same species, Canis lupus (familiaris).

We get hybrids from time to time & work with several scantuaries that rescue them & I'd bet my house that there is ZERO wolf content in this dog. There are simply no wolf traits about her at all (eyes (shape & color), ears, coloring, build, head/muzzle shape, leg structure & stance - ALL WRONG !!).

She is a White GSD with a lot of cream highlights. Probably not the best bred dog on the block, but I'd bet she is either purebred or (looking at the shape & fur on those ears & her coat in general) a WGSD / Siberian Husky (red) mix.

Can you call these people and talk some sense into them so she gets more time ???

Rescued!
Success Stories
I don't know which rescue pulled her.
I had emailed Echo when I saw her posting on DiD.
Thank you both for your comments and suggestions!
