This is Auk, a 5 year old intact male that is currently at LCAC.

He was signed over to LCAC when his owner went into the hospital.

He has had some training in the police department and has done some bite work, but training was terminated when he was deemed not tough enough. He knows some commands in german.

He is very friendly and lived with cats.

The policy at the shelter is first come, first served and the director, Debbie Oberle, doesn't want him to go to just anybody so he is not listed on their site yet; she would like him to go to a person with Shepherd experience.

You can look at his teeth, pick up his feet, feel him all over, check his ears, etc. without any problem. He is a sweet dog that needs to get out of the shelter fast. He is currently sharing a kennel with Eli, another shepherd that came in with him that I will post too. The shelter is more than full right now (more dogs than kennels which is why these two are having to share space).

He is being neutered today.

I thought I was told that he was ok with cats but I want to double check that tomorrow. Will update then.

I had Auk out today and testing him with cats. Didn't seem to mind them, and seems friendly with other dogs too.

He had his surgery yesterday at which time he tested heartworm positive (low).
The director is asking that an adopter help towards the cost of treatment.

I really want him to get a home as he is really sweet and loves to gives kisses. He will play with a ball and is just a very friendly dog.
