Just called the pound.

He is not neutered.
The owner is aware that he is there but will not be coming for him, according to the ACO.
No more information offered by the ACO.
I will try and get in to see him next week.

Ok, just came from LCAC and met this dog.

His name is Charlie and his senior owners died and he ended up there.

He is 10-12 years old, not 4 as first stated on the website.

I walked him out of his kennel and he was glad to be out. Didn't pay any attention to the other dogs in there. He pulled a little while walking out of the kennel area but an officer there said his owner used to walk him everyday and when outside he is fine.
He let me check his teeth, ears, pick his feet up and generally feel him all over. He wagged his tail quite a bit and occasionally looked for attention when it wasn't given to him. I'm sure he's confused as to why he is in there.

I introduced him to Koda (2yr old nm) and he was fine with him. Didn't really pay him any attention. When he did, he wagged his tail.

He's a little on the thin side and needs a good brushing. His rear end shows the signs of age, maybe with his hips.

He was raised with cats but they don't know about children.

He is a lovely senior dog who just needs a warm bed to lay in. He has until July 26th.

A good reason for senior folks to make provision for their family members before they pass on, so that they don't end up like Charlie. Poor guy, he looks so sad.

it's so hard to understand how people can let this happen. i hope for help for charlie. these older dogs ask for so little.
