I called today about mom and the rest of the pups and they are going to midatlantic rescue. They are being picked up on Friday.

I don't like this shelter; they will refuse help from a rescue and then a week later list the dog as Urgent; and they also will release an unspayed dog to a known breeder.

I'm glad mom and pups will be leaving tomorrow for rescue and thank you MAGSR... it IS very sad that the other 5 little ones didn't get that chance. I know this shelter does things that I and most other people don't see as logical and but I don't know what the answer is to make it better. Their reasoning for euthanizing the puppies at this point and time didn't make sense to me either . . . I'm not defending them for doing that but honestly the euthanization tech was visable upset yesterday afternoon when I went there and all he could say was that 'it wasn't a good day'... My only wish is that these idiot owners would spay and neuter to keep stuff like this from happening.

I don't understand their logic at all. They have kept older dogs for months while euthanizing young dogs that were highly adoptable.
