EMERGENCY

There is currently only 1 dog that is urgently in need of a rescue commitment and that is Bear. Bear was surrendered to the shelter today and must be out of the shelter by tomorrow (7/10) or he will be PTS! The ACO will be on vacation next week, so he will NOT be held beyond tomorrow. Please take a look at his info below and his picture is attached. Please don't wait to contact me if you can help save him!! This facility does not do public adoptions, so their only hope is to be saved by A RESCUE....these dogs can not be released to individuals. If these dogs are not rescued by their release date, they will be PTS! Please take a look at the attached pictures and if you can help any of them, please contact me at dawn6639@verizon.net as soon as possible. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE SHELTER! Even if you can't help....please cross-post to other rescues that you think may be able help. If cross-posting, please include ENTIRE post so that people do not contact the shelter. We have very limited transport resources, but will do our best to help get them to the Chicagoland area. BEAR Bear is a black German Shepherd. Bear is a young male that is only about 8 months old. He is currently medium sized and is about 45 pounds. He is such a beautiful boy, but that did not stop his owners from surrendering him to the shelter today to be PTS! Owner surrenders can be euthanized immediately, so this boy will only have 1 day to find rescue!! I did not get a chance to meet him in person since he just came in, but I am told by the ACO that he is a very nice and friendly boy with people and that he does not seem to mind the other dogs. Dawn emailed me a little while ago that a GSD rescue near Milwaukee has committed to him.
