Default Grandview Kennels

Hi. We looking to buy our first GS pup ( a female ). Trying to find to right breeder so that I can avoid any potential regrets. I live in Ontario Canada. Has anyone dealt with Grandview Kennels of Erin Ontario? They are in the Greater Toronto Area. Or if you can recommend a really great breeder that would be so appreciated. I will travel far and wide to find the right pup. You can PM me. Thank you.

Can't help you with that specific kennel but generally before you really start making decisions you need to read thru and understand ===> How to find a puppy!

There are so many pitfalls with puppy health, temperament and ignorant breeders that the more we know going in the better we do with our wonderful new puppy over the next 12+ years.

on the Grandview web site they say

"At Grandview we Breed for “Physical and Mental Perfection” as well maintaining the sheer Beauty and Nobility of the German Shepherd Dog. “One Must be able to afford to pay for that Perfection” We are the BMW in German Shepherds."

BMW of German Shepherds ? what ? hey say aren't they expensive to maintain and in need of frequent visits to the mechanics ?

I like the warning about one must be able to afford to pay for perfection .

Physical perfection - not so much -- not when you have average males weighing in at the 90 to 110 pound range . That is beyond the breed standard and not particularly advantageous for a working dog.
Mental perfection - how is this proven - there are some dogs listed that have a CD , the most basic of levels of obedience competition demonstrating some control and manners . One dog is listed with a Utility title . Of the CD titled dogs there are no mentions of how they achieved that title - they may have trialed for years or trialed with squeak by scores.

so what else are you looking at .

Don't know anything about Grand View kennels, but you are very lucky to be close to Carmspack, and I'd take one of her pups in a second if I lived that close!

I looked at them when I was searching for a pup but their attitude turned me off. If you're going to brag, back it up!

OP - there are better breeders out there. If you want more recommendations just ask

Grandview German Shepherds - City of Toronto Dogs & Puppies For Sale - Kijiji City of Toronto Canada.

This is a complaint/warning that someone posted on kijiji about this kennel, I have seen many of these over the past year about this kennel on kijiji.
I don't have any personal knowledge of their kennel but thought I would post this link for you to see.
