Default Switching puppy food

Ok fellow members I have a quick question and would like your opinions. Noah just turned 10 weeks and he's been on puppy chow since it was a late and that's all they had at Walmart that I knew he ll eat. Lucky he's almost done with it and was looking for a better quality type of dry food for him. For the price it seems that authority and naturals dog food are good options for him any thoughts?

The grain free Authority is good. Not sure what the "naturals" brand is that you're talking about. Simply Nourish is better than Authority and you don't pay that much more for it. If you have access to other stores that carry high quality food, then Merrick and Fromm also tend to be excellent choices for Shepherds.

Fromm's 4 Star Grain Free is a better choice, IMHO.
Family owned and kibble is manufactured on site, no recalls.
Can be purchased on line or at local Doggie Boutiques. You can do a search here: Fromm USA Retailers

When adding a new food or supplement, make sure that you wean the dog on to new item SLOWLY. Take a week or more by starting with 1/8th to 1/4th cup kibble for one meal of the day and watching to see if there is any gut upset. GSD's are notorious for this. If no upset in a day or two add a little more and continue watching stool. If loose stool happens, cut back to previous amount given and wait until his/her gut gets use to it.

Good Luck!

Delgado did very well on Fromm's LBP formula and I rotate both of mine now through their grain free formulas of their four star line. I've been nothing but happy with Fromm

Wellness is another company with a excellent reputation or if you're looking for something easier on the bank account Costco's Kirkland brand dog food is one of the better brands that are cheaper

You can order online? Chewy.com. And yes Moms! They better keep doing what they're doing no changes.
