Just Kibble enough ?

Hey guys im just wondering if it's enough food intake if i only give my puppy kibbles only based on the feeding guidelines ?

Cause i know some people add toppings for meals and give treats . And more treats for obedience training. When i train Ace i use toys or his own kibble. The reason i ask is that he always seem to be super hungry.. and he finish his meals less than 5 minutes. I also know some are hearty eaters more than the others.

Im sorry if there is a question like this somewhere but i thought it'd be easier to just ask.

it depends on his weight as to how much you give
as for toppings -== if he eats it like it is that should be fine
because that is the way to create a picky eater is to start garnishing the food regularly
he will get use to it and not eat it plain

what food are you feeding? do you have current side and standing pics of your pup and one from above for reference?

oh to answer your question
no he does not need toppings if you are feeding a high quality food

No a good quality kibble doesn't need supplements. I add topping to add vitamins and minerals and just add general variety to the dog's diet. Personally I'd be sick of my food if I had to eat chicken, rice, and peas every day for the rest of my life. I think there is a lot of benefit in variety in diet

Things like Tripett (canned tripe), coconut oil, salmon oil, cottage cheese, plain yogurt, carrots, green beans, pumpkin, or some meat are just some examples of toppers that I use that all have benefits. It doesn't need to be junk food

Thanks shade . I'm switching to Fromm soon in a few weeks to be safe.. cause i heard Fromm is really good, no recalls etc .. but im afraid its gonna be too rich so im playing it safe.

you could always mix the fromm with a lower quality food but in line with the same ingredients if you are afraid it would be too rich
so if fromm is chicken you could mix it half and half with like tractor supply chicken and rice
etc

Delgado did really well on Fromm's LBP formula, when he turned one I switched him to match my other dog on their Four Star line and now rotate through the grain free flavours.

I feed Fromm. After a week or two of soft stool she's now normal. Although running drinking makes it soft. Just how puppies are. Switch slowly to Fromm. He should be fine.
